I've had my ups and downs with my Z. I fear getting into a non-stop money pit with old cars, so much so that I was almost going to sell my TT.
But then I went on a 2 week vacation. Came back ready to go for a cruise and it immediately overheated - thermostat had become stuck closed. Replaced that and two weeks later I was finally driving it again. So after this 4 week hiatus, I was so excited to get my Z back that I couldn't sleep the night before. Driving it again was as fun as the day I bought the thing. Felt like a rocket and made the most perfect sounds. Especially after lumbering around in 'civilian' cars for a month.
So my recommendation is to lay-off the Z for as long as you can stand it. If you don't come back to it grinning ear-to-ear, you 'might' not regret selling it.
